EOT Cranes

Single Girder EOT Crane

Single girder EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) crane is a type of overhead crane that consists of one girder beam supported by end trucks on either side. This configuration allows the crane to operate on a single runway beam, which is typically mounted on the building columns or roof structure.
1. The hoist mechanism is mounted on the girder and is used for lifting and lowering loads.
2. Single girder cranes are generally more economical compared to double girder cranes.
3. They have a lower dead weight, which can be beneficial for the building structure and installation.
4. Due to their simpler design and lighter weight, installation time and costs can be lower.
5. Single girder EOT cranes are commonly used in workshops, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial environments where medium to light lifting capacities are required.
6. They are suitable for handling tasks such as loading and unloading materials, assembly lines, and maintenance operations.

Double Girder EOT Crane

Double girder EOT crane is a two parallel girders mounted on end trucks. This design provides increased stability, lifting capacity, and versatility compared to single girder cranes..
1. Similar to single girder cranes, double girder cranes have end trucks on each side of the girders. These end trucks house the wheels that allow the crane to travel along the runway beam.
2. The hoist mechanism is typically located between the two girders and is used for lifting and lowering heavy loads. Double girder cranes can accommodate larger and heavier hoists compared to single girder cranes.
3. Double girder cranes are capable of lifting heavier loads compared to single girder cranes. They are suitable for applications where lifting capacities exceed 10 tons or more.
4. They can span greater distances than single girder cranes, making them suitable for larger work areas and facilities.
5. The dual girder design provides greater stability and reduces the risk of sway during lifting operations, especially when handling large and heavy loads.
6. Double girder EOT cranes are used in heavy industries such as steel mills, shipyards, power plants, and foundries where heavy-duty lifting and precise positioning of materials are required.
7. They are ideal for applications involving high-speed lifting, frequent use, and handling of over sized loads.
